We’re giving care providers more control over how they share information with families. Say goodbye to the single “Family” role, and hello to two new, targeted roles: Family Representative and Family Follower!
- Family Representatives are key family members or supporters who play an active role in a loved one’s care. They have access to sensitive information, such as care plans and financial documents, which can be uploaded to a customer’s profile.
- Family Followers are members who enjoy keeping up with social updates, video chats, and notices, but won’t have access to documents, links, or wellbeing checks (when “Family Sharing of Wellbeing Checks” is activated by the provider).
With these roles, you can now tailor information sharing. Choose to share sensitive updates with Family Representatives while still sharing beautiful, everyday moments with a customer’s entire community.
As well, Site Coordinators now have a Document and Link History feature to view who has accessed files, when, and how often, adding even more transparency.
How Does This Affect You?
When new Family roles launch, all currently connected Family members will automatically be assigned the Family Representative role, giving them continued access to documents, links, notices, questions, and wellbeing checks previously shared with Family.
If you’d like to adjust roles, it’s easy! Simply go to the user’s profile under the “Members” tab, open their profile, and select the preferred role from the dropdown.
